About Ein-Gedi

Kibbutz Ein-Gedi offers a unique Country Hotel and a fully equipped modern Convention Center. The kibbutz is situated inside a magical Botanical Garden, on a cliff plateau, overlooking the Dead Sea - the lowest point on earth. It is a true oasis within the Judean Desert.

The Ein-Gedi Spa is a natural wellness center, with pools of thermo-mineral Sulphur water, therapeutic black mud is available freely, and more. You may step out for a dip in the Dead Sea with the highest concentrate of salt of any water in the world, which allows the famous 'float' whilst reading the newspaper. A remarkable sensation, unequal to none! Even non-swimmers can enjoy the sea!

The official language of the Symposium is English.

Climate & Clothing

The weather in Ein-Gedi in February is pleasant and warm during the day and cool at night. Temperatures range from 7℃ - 16℃ (45℉ - 61℉). Occasional rain. Informal dress code, head cover, comfortable shoes and swimsuit are recommended.

Participants from Germany, other EU countries and the US do not need visas to Israel. For participants from other countries we suggest you check with your local Israeli embassy or consulate. Invitation letters will be issued upon request.

Health insurance is recommended. The Symposium organizers shall be exempt from all liability in respect of any loss, damage, injury or accident, to any person or his or her luggage or any other property, for any reason whatsoever.
